Another Busy Couple Weeks

Christmas Time is always a very busy time for us.

Last Wednesday, Luke and I decided to go to CALM and take a break from the madness.  Even though it was a very short visit, we still had a great time.

Ian's 1st Grade Christmas Program was last Thrusday.  He played a Rapper.  I tried to get the video up of him singing with the other rappers, but it wouldn't load :(

Busy, Busy!!!

We've been a busy bunch the last few weeks...
Ian and I went to Rollerama a couple days before Thanksgiving.  We had a great time and he even went out on the floor without me to skate with his friends :0)
Ian's Class had a Thanksgiving Feast the Tuesday before Turkey Day.  The kids went around the room telling everyone what they were thankful for, Ian was thankful for our dog, Jaina.  The kids had a great time eating the turkey and stuffing, but I think there favorite part was when the teacher gave them their whip cream.

The day after Thanksgiving, my sisters and I took our mom to Knott's Berry Farm to celebrate her Birthday.  We spent 2 days with Snoopy and his friends.  We had Sooo much fun and barely hit any lines.
I've also been busy re-decorating... My friend moved into a new studio at the beginning of this month, so when she left for a couple days to take her son to Disneyland, a couple other friends and I took over and painted the ceiling and added some pink love to the new place.
Ty's company Christmas Party was last Saturday.  Ty and I got all dressed up and went out for the night.  Our niece, Teresa was an awesome babysitter :)
And because the kids were so good for Teresa on Saturday, I took them to the movies on Sunday afternoon.

Thank You Veteran's

Ian's school every year puts on a Veteran's Day (well Veteran's Night) Program.  They begin the night with kettlecorn and lemonade which is followed with letters written and read by the kids, songs and Veteran's who give speeches.  Before heading home they have a High School Drum Line perform and then they lead us in a flag planting parade :)  Super-fun and we always have a great time!

More October

We forgot a couple events that took place in October...
My sisters came into town from Vacaville to visit...we took the kids to John's Incredible Pizza for a little grub and some fun
Ian's school also had a carnival...his class was in charge of the soda booth.

October

October was a very busy month for all of us...
I've been helping a lot in Ian's classroom.  One day while I was there, they were learning about bats.  Ian can now tell you a bunch of cool things bats can do, like they are mammals and they have webbed wings.

Ian played soccer every Saturday in October.  His last game he got a huge surprise...Aunt Jen, Uncle Alan, Aunt Tammy, Uncle Don, Darrell, Grandma, Grandpa and James were there. After the game, we went to a pizza party to celebrate.
Ty and I went to a Halloween Costume Party in LA... We went with 6 other people and had a great time.

With all the fun stuff going on in October, we didn't get to carve our pumpkins until the night before Halloween.  Luke and Ty shared a pumpkin, mainly because Luke was only interested in pulling out the seeds and stabbing the pumpkin (he was not much interested in carving a face into it).  Ian had his own pumpkin,  and only needed a little help with the carving.
Halloween Day was a bit crazy...Luke spent the morning with my Dad, so I could help in Ian's class.  The morning started with a traditional Halloween Parade.  Then it was back to the classroom for Halloween Centers and a Yummy Treat.

Batman and Robin
After school, we went to Ty's work to see the awesome decorations. Ty's department decided to do a Farm Theme this year.
Ian, Luke, Hailey and Wyatt
Afterwards, it was off to a friend's house for a little Halloween Party.  We had Pizza, made caramel apples and played.
Robin, Batman, Poison Ivy and Scarcrow
Then we went home to get ready for Trick-Or-Treating...Jon, Jo and Teresa came over to walk with us and Ian's friend from school Hailey, her Dad and her Gma also joined us.

The next day, I was back at Ian's school... We melted crayons on pumpkins.  It was a very fun project, but after melting crayons on 27 pumpkins, I'm so over crayons and I need a new hair dryer :)
