Whaley Family Reunion

Saturday, was the 1st Annual Whaley Reunion. It was held at my Grandpa's house. It was super-great seeing all my relatives. Everyone was there except 1 cousin and 2 of my sisters (Jen is in Colorado and Jess is in Nebraska).

Squash

Last year's garden was so nice, we decided to do it again this year. All of our plants we planted back in March from seeds, with the exception of out apple tree. So far, we've harvested; 3 large cucumbers, 8 summer squash (super yummy, btw), 4 radishes, lots of lettuce, some spinach and a few strawberries. We are patiently waiting for the other fruit/veggies to become ripe enough to pick; the grapes, tomatoes, pumpkins and of course our apples.

Yesterday, we went over to a friends to swim...

Luke dove right in. Ian, on the other hand, was a bit afraid and would only go into the water up to his shoulders.

Father's Day Weekend

Last year Ty and his brothers took their Dad camping for Father's Day...this year we thought it would be fun go again, this time inviting the ladies and my side of the family.
We decided to camp at Buena Vista Lake. We got to relax a bit, play Frisbee and throw a few balls around, and swim in the lake. For dinner we roasted hot dogs and hot links, and we had s'mores for dessert. When it got dark, Ty and Mike set up the projector against my parents' trailer and we watched Monsters vs. Aliens and then School of Rock. In the morning we ate breakfast and then started packing up camp. We had a wonderful time, and we can't wait to do it again!!!

Rebekah's Grad Party

Jessica, the boys and I left for Folsom on Thursday night. We arrived at Jen and Alan's house late...very late.
The next morning we decided to go to the Sacramento Zoo. The boys had a great time. We got to see a lot of animals. Before we left the zoo we rode the carousel and the train.

Saturday, we headed to Vacaville for my sister, Rebekah's graduation party. We all got to meet my sister Angela's baby, Audrey, and her fiance for the first time.

After the party, we headed back to Jen and Alan's for pizza and a movie (Short Circuit 2)...ah Johnny 5.

Sunday, after a yummy breakfast with the family, we headed home. The boys slept the whole way!

Mandalay Beach

Yesterday, we went to Mandalay Beach in Oxnard with Jon, Jo, Teresa and Nathan. It wasn't very sunny (or warm for that matter), but it didn't stop us from having fun!!
