Kern River!

We went to see the wild flowers up past Kernville on Saturday. To our surprise, we found much more than just flowers :)

We spent the whole day there exploring, playing in the snow, wading in the river, and of course seeing the wildflowers. Below are some of the family pictures we took while we were there.

While on the road we stopped to check out a couple water falls. We also took the old 178 to see where it would take us...the view from there was beautiful. We drove thru Lake Isabella and one of the parks there had a tank!

We found a nice spot right next to a little waterfall to stop and have lunch

Ian and Ty had a snowball fight (I think Ty won). Luke liked the snow, but I don't think he really knew what to do with it :)

Before heading home, we stopped in Kernville for some Ice Cream and a little time by the river.

Ian wanted us to put his swim trunks on, but soon changed his mind when he found out how cold it was

Happy Birthday Ty!

Before going to work...Ty had to open the surprise Ian and Luke had got for him. A HELICOPTER!!

Party

Saturday the 20th, we had Luke's Birthday Party. It was Dinosaur themed. He got a lot of great gifts and some money to start building the swing set Ty and I designed for the boys.

On Sunday the 21st, we went to 2 birthday parties...

The first was for Serina. The second was for my friend's little one, Luca (who was born 1 week after Luke)

Both boys had a great time. Luke loved the horses and the dogs. Ian had a great time playing with all the other kids.

Ty took the day off and we went to the LA Zoo on Wednesday. We had a great time. Ian kept calling it the "Zoom"

Luke's First Birthday

Luke's first birthday was Sunday (his party will be on the 20th). We spent the afternoon in the backyard playing with Luke's new toy Ian got him...a dirt digger. And at 5pm we went out for some Birthday Ice Cream with my parents.
